Reliable Silver Corporation (RSC) has acquired Materion Corporation’s (NYSE: MTRN) Large Area Targets site in Albuquerque, NM. The additional New Mexico operation will augment our two existing and expanding Connecticut facilities to form North America’s most vertically integrated precious metals manufacturer for the product lines we serve, enabling unparalleled customer support, competitiveness, and agility.
The acquisition also creates the Americas’ broadest and most complete manufacturer of precious metals and base metals large area sputtering targets. Our products will play a critical role in depositing thin film coatings on energy efficient low-E glass, flexible web coatings, medical, semiconductors, and upcoming technologies focused on high temperature superconductors, solar energy, and the hydrogen economy.
